AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO NORTHSTAR
FOODS INC. TO PERMIT A FOOD PROCESSING FACILITY IN AN 1-2
INDUSTRIAL ZONED DISTRICT LOCATED AT 2601 AMERICAN LANE
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as
a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law
considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Northstar Foods Inc. to
permit the operation of a food processing facility in an I-2 Industrial Zoned District
located at 2601 American Lane, Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan
Commission, find and believe that it is in the best interest of the Village to issue said
Special Use Permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the transcript of the proceedings before the Plan Commission
and the findings and recommendations of said Plan Commission are incorporated into
this Ordinance.
Section 2: That there be granted a Special Use Permit to Northstar Foods Inc. to
permit the operation of a food processing facility in an I-2 Industrial Zoned District
located at 2601 American Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows:
LOT 25 IN CARDINAL SUBDIVISION IN DEVON-O'HARE INDUSTRIAL
PARK UNIT NUMBER 2, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTH 151
FEET OF THE NORTH 1589.8 FEET OF THE WEST 230 FEET OF THE EAST
1050 FEET OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP
40 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,
ACCORDING TO THE PLAT OF SUBDIVISION RECORDED OCTOBER 6;
1967 AS DOCUMENT R67-40424 IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
Section 3: That the Special Use Permit is subject to the conditions as set forth by
the Plan Commission and contained in their findings and recommendation dated
November 22, 2010.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
