AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 -4 -3 -IF, SECTION 8-4-3-2H AND SECTION
8-4-3-3G OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
PERTAINING TO POLITICAL, NON-COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING SIGNS
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 8-4-3-1F, Section 8-4-3-211 and Section 8-4-3-3G of the
Village Code be amended respectively to read as follows:
8-4-3-1F
F. Political or other non-commercial advertising signs not exceeding
six (6) square feet per side of sign and thirty-six (36) square feet
of total sign area per lot on private property.
8-4-3-2H
H. Political or other non-commercial advertising signs not exceeding
six (6) square feet per side of sign and thirty-six (36) square feet
of total sign area per lot on private property.

Section 2: That any person, firm or corporation who violates the provisions of this
ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than
five -hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed
committed on each day during or on which a violation or failure to comply occurs or continues to
exist.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this ordinance in
pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
