HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 3261 - 4/26/2011 - SPECIAL USE/ZONING/THE SOCCER PLACEORDINANCE NO. 3261 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 711-1-2-E OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE PERTAINING TO SPECIAL USES IN THE B-1 BUSINESS DISTRICT BY ADDING THERETO ATHLETIC FIELDS AS A SPECIAL USE IN SAID DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of approving a Text Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the Village by adding Athletic Fields as a Special Use in the B-1 Business District; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that the proposed Text Amendment be added to the Zoning Ordinance as hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 713-1-2-E, Special Uses in the B-1 Business District be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following. Athletic Fields. In granting a Special Use Permit for athletic fields, the Village shall consider the following requirements and conditions: I. Aesthetics 2. Compatibility with surroundings uses. 3. That the traffic generated from the use will not have a deleterious effect on existing uses in proximity to the proposed use nor on the public streets. 4. Adequate provisions for parking including shared parking with adjacent property. Adjacent property is adequately protected from the use existing on the proposed use. 6. Landscape plan as approved by the Plan Commission unless said plan is deemed unnecessary and therefore waived. The number and location of all accessory structures including, but not limited to, maintenance sheds, concession stands and port -a -potties, all as approved by the Plan Commission. 8. The benefit to the Village to be derived from the granting of the Special Use Permit. Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and according to law.
