HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 3307 - 7/10/2012 - COMMONWEALTLN EDISON SPECIAL USEORDINANCE NO. 3307 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY FOR EXPANSION OF THE EXISTING ELECTRICAL SUB- STATION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2065 TONNE ROAD ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Commonwealth Edison Company for the expansion of the existing electrical sub- station on property located at 2065 Tonne Road; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after considering the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that said Special Use Permit be granted as requested, subject to the conditions hereafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the findings and recommendations of the Plan Commission dated May 15, 2012 be and the same are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance. Section 2: That there is hereby granted a Special Use Permit to Commonwealth Edison Company for expansion of the existing electrical sub -station on the property located at 2065 Tonne Road, Elk Grove Village, which Special Use Permit is subject to the following conditions: 1. Construction of the new transmission towers at a height no greater than sixty (60) feet; 2. Construction of the front yard fence/barrier wall must be twenty seven (27) feet from the Tonne Road frontage; 3. The petitioner constructs a decorative masonry wall along the south and western sides of the site; 4. The petitioner is permitted to utilize stone in parking areas; 5. Construction of a masonry wall on the north property line pleasuring two hundred (200) feet in length and adjoining the adjacent masonry on the west property line; and 6. Installation of wrought iron fencing along the entire west property line. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
