AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM SECTION 3-7:1)(1) AND THE
SCHEDULE OF BULK AND YARD REQUIREMENTS IN TABLE 7-1 OF THE ELK
GROVE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE AS IT PERTAINS TO THE PERMITTED
LOCATIONS FOR PRINCIPAL AND ATTACHED ACCESSORY STRUCTURES ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1764 W. BIESTERFIELD ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
(FLANNERY)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a public hearing duly called and held
according to law, considered the question of granting a variation from the provisions of Section
3-7:D(1) and the Schedule of Bulk and Yard Requirements in Table 7-1 of the Elk Grove Village
Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to the permitted locations for principal and attached accessory
structures to permit the construction of a third car garage to encroach five feet five inches (5'-5")
into the required side yard area at the rear of the addition and two feet (2') into the required side
yard area at the front of the addition on property located at 1764 W. Biesterfield Road and
legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village find
and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-7:D(1) and the Schedule of
Bulk and Yard Requirements in Table 7-1 of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance to permit
the construction of a third car garage to encroach five feet five inches (5'-5") into the required
side yard area at the rear of the addition and two feet (2') into the required side yard area at the
front of the addition on property located at 1764 W. Biesterfield Road, Elk Grove Village and
legally described as follows:
Lot').') in Winston Grove Section 23A, being a Subdivision in part of Section 25 and 26,
Township 41 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
