A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $889,734
FOR CONSTRUCTION AND CONSTRUCTON ENGINEERING OF THE BUSSE
WOODS TRAIL OVERPASS AT IL ROUTE 72 (PROJECT NO. CMM-4003(148)
SECTION 09-00058-00-BT)
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has secured funding through the
Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program (CMAQ) for construction engineering
and construction of the Busse Woods Trail Overpass at IL Route 72; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has heretofore committed to
funding one hundred percent (1001/6) of the cost for construction and construction
engineering in the amount of$889,734; and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village deem the passage of this Resolution to be in the best interest and furtherance of
the general welfare of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties of Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinbefore set forth
are hereby restated as though herein fully set forth.
Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of$889,734 for
construction and construction engineering for a bicycle bridge over Higgins Road to
connect the north and south sections of the Busse Woods 11.2 mile bike path, identified
as Project No. CMM-4003(148); Section No. 09-00058-00-BT and Job No. C-91-163-13;
and

Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall
transmit two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to the District Office of the Illinois
Department of Transportation, at Schaumburg, Illinois.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this
Resolution in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication according to law.
