Exhibit A
Re: Municipal Resolution for Class 6b Incentive
Subject Property: 240 Stanley Street, Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007
Special Circumstances:
The Applicant is seeking a Class 6B with special circumstances based on occupation of
abandoned property without purchase for value.
But for a 6B abatement on this property, it will be difficult to effectuate a lease transaction
with Caramax since the competing buildings are located in Wood Dale, where the real estate
taxes have a better economic advantage when compared to Elk Grove Village.
The 240 Stanley property made their short list because of the repairs done to the building by
ownership and the qualification of a 6B abatement in place.
But for the 6B granted today, we will lose their business. If by the end of July we can show
proof of a Resolution, they will commit to a lease with ownership and occupy the facility in Elk
Grove on a long term basis.
