AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6-4-1-B AND 6-4-5-2 OF THE ELK
GROVE VILLAGE CODE AS THEY RELATE TO PARKING LOT EXIT
TURNS AND PARKING AT RUPLEY SCHOOL
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-4-5-2 be amended by adding thereto a new paragraph
which shall read as follows:
C. It shall be unlawful for any person to park any automobile or other vehicle
between the hours of eight thirty (8:30) a.m. and nine thirty (9:30) a.m. and three
thirty (3:30) p.m. and four o'clock (4:00) p.m., Monday through Friday, on days
when school is in session, on streets and parts of streets named herein:
Crest Avenue on the East side between Ridgewood Avenue and 100' east of
Woodcrest.
Section 2: That Section 6-4-5-2-13 be amended to read as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle except for a maximum of
fifteen (15) minutes for the purpose of dropping off or picking up school children
between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, on days when school is
in session on the following streets or parts of streets:
Westview Drive, on the east side between Clearmont and the property line for the
residence at 1051 Westview Drive.
Crest Avenue, on the west side between Ridgewood Avenue and 220' north of
Ridgewood.
Section 3: That Section 6-4-1-B No Left Turn be amended by adding thereto the
following:
9. No operator of any motor vehicle shall make a left had turn from the south exit
of the Rupley School parking lot onto Crest Avenue.
Section 4: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be
subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred
dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
Section 5: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in
pamphlet form.
Section 6: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
