HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION - 49-14 - 11/18/2014 - CLASS 6B - 2200 ARTHUR AVE.RESOLUTION NO. 49-14 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS FOR CLASS 6B STATUS PURSUANT TO THE COOK COUNTY REAL PROPERTY CLASSIFICATION ORDINANCE AS AMENDED JULY 17, 2013 FOR CERTAIN REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 2200 ARTHUR AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village desires to promote the development of industry in the Village of Elk Grove; and WHEREAS, the Cook County Assessor is operating under an ordinance enacted by the Cook County Board of Commissioners, and amended from time to time, the most recent amendment becoming effective as of July 17, 2013, which has instituted a program to encourage industrial and commercial development in Cook County known as the Cook County Real Property Classification Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the Petitioner has applied for or is applying for Class 6B property status pursuant to said aforementioned ordinance, for certain real estate located at 2200 Arthur Avenue, in the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois, with the Property Index Numbers 08-35-301-043-0000, 08-35-403-052-0000, 08-35-403-053-0000, 08-35-403-056- 0000 and 08-35-403-065-0000, has proven to this Board that such incentive provided for in said ordinance is necessary for development to occur on this specific real estate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1. That the request of the Petitioner to have certain real estate located at 2200 Arthur Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois, legally described as follows, and with the Property Index Numbers 08-35-301-043-0000, 08-35-403-052-0000, 08-35-403- 053-0000, 08-35-403-056-0000 and 08-35-403-065-0000, declared eligible for Class 6B status pursuant to the Cook County Real Property Classification Ordinance as amended July 17, 2013, is hereby granted in that this Board and the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, has determined that the incentive provided by the said Class 6B Tax Incentive Ordinance is necessary for the said development to occur on the subject property: PARCEL 1: THE WEST 68.00 FEET OF LOT 82 AND ALL OF LOT 83 IN CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT 8, BEING A SUBDIVISION IN SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JANUARY 22, 1963 AS DOCUMENT 18702453, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PARCEL 2: LOTS 100 AND 101 IN CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT 11, A SUBDIVISION IN SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED APRIL 29, 1963 AS DOCUMENT 18782018, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PARCEL 3: LOT 207 IN CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT 104, BEING A SUBDIVISION IN SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED OCTER 20, 1965 AS DOCUMENT 19623057, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PARCEL 4: THAT PART OF THE SOUTH % OF THE SOUTHWEST '/4 OF SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN; AND THAT PART OF LOT `K' IN CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK, BEING A SUBDIVISION IN SAID SECTION 35, BOUNDED AND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 202 IN CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT 18, BEING A SUBDIVISION IN SAID SECTION 35; THENCE NORTH ALONG THE EAST LINE OF LOT 202, 399.73 FEET TO THE NORTH LINE OF LOT `K' AFORESAID; THENCE EAST ALONG SAID NORTH LINE OF LOT `K', 336.25 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 2071N CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT 104, BEING A SUBDIVISION IN SAID SECTION 35; THENCE SOUTH ALONG TIIE WEST LINE OF SAID LOT 207, 399.62 FEET TO SOUTHWEST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE WEST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF ARTHUR AVENUE, 336.35 FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS; ALSO KNOWN AS LOT 210 IN CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT 107, BEING A SUBDIVISION IN SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JULY 5, 1966 AS DOCUMENT 19875746, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS. Section 2. That the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois hereby supports and consents to the Class 6B Application and approves the classification of the subject property as Class 6B property pursuant to the Cook County Real Property Classification Ordinance and the Class 6B tax incentives shall apply to the property identified as Permanent Real Estate Index Numbers 08 -35 -301 -043 -0000,08-35-403-052-0000,08-35-403-053-0000,08-35-403-056- 0000 and 08-35-403-065-0000. Section 3. That the Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized to sign any necessary documents to implement this Resolution subject to the petitioner purchasing the existing building and demolishing it in order to construct a new 112,862 square foot building. Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 18`h day of November 2014.
