AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2 BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS OF THE
VILLAGE CODE BY ELIMINATING CHAPTER 11 INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL
REVITALIZATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule Municipality as
established and defined by the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Village, as a Home Rule Municipality, has the authority to enact
legislation pertaining to its local government and affairs including the elimination of certain
Boards, Commissions and Committees deemed unnecessary by the corporate authorities of the
Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 11, Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Commission, of Title
2, Boards and Commissions of the Village Code, is hereby repealed.
Section 2: That all references to the Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Commission
set forth in the Village Code are hereby repealed.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
