AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ELK GROVE TRUCK
SALES TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOBILE/VEHICLE
SHOWROOM FOR INTERNET BASED SALES IN AN I-2 INDUSTRIAL ZONING
DISTRICT ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2500 DEVON AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public
Hearing duty called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a Special Use
Permit to Elk Grove Truck Sales to permit the operation of an automobile/vehicle showroom for
internet based sales as a Special Use on property located at 2500 Devon Avenue; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove village, after
considering the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission find and believe it to be in
the best interest of the Village that said Special Use Permit be granted as requested, subject to the
conditions hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the findings and recommendations of the Plan Commission dated March
20, 2015 be and the same are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance.
Section 2: That there is hereby granted a Special Use Permit to Elk Grove Truck Sales to
permit the operation of an automobile/vehicle showroom for internet based sales, which Special
Use Permit is subject to the following conditions:
1. The Special Use is only valid for Elk Grove Truck Sales, 2500 Devon Avenue and
expires at the time that the petitioner is no longer located at the subject property.
2. The Village will conduct a final inspection prior to the commencement of operations
to ensure compliance with Village Code.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
