AN ORDINANCE AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE VILLAGE CODE
WHICH REFERENCED THE INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL REVITALIZATION
COMMISSION AND THE HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 3 -2 -8 -B -2-a pertaining to Revenue from the telecommunications
tax being utilized for projects established by the Industrial/Commercial Revitalization
Commission (ICRC) be amended to read as follows:
a. Three (3) of the five percent (5%) in revenues resulting from the imposition of this
section shall be earmarked for the purposes of revitalizing the village's commercial
and industrial areas. Under no circumstance shall this portion of the simplified
municipal telecommunications tax revenue be utilized for purposes other than that
benefitting the industrial/commercial areas of the Village.
Section 2: That Section 3 -2 -8 -B -2-b which references the ICRC be deleted in its entirety
and that said paragraph b. be designated "reserved."
Section 3: ThatChapter 6 Industrial/Commercial Recreation District be deleted in its
entirety.
Section 4: That Section 1-8-10-2 Community Service Fund which references a fund in
conjunction with the Health and Community Service Board be deleted in its entirety and said
section to be designated "reserved."
Section 5: That Sections 1-8-10-4 Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Fund be
amended to read as follows:
1-8-10-4 Business Leaders Fund: There is hereby established a Business Leaders Fund to
be classified as a special revenue find which shall be kept separate and apart from all
other accounts and finds of the village.
All amounts collected pursuant to Section 3 -2 -8 -B -2-a of the Village Code shall be
deposited into the Business Leaders Fund and shall be separate and apart from all other
monies of the village, provided that amounts deposited may be invested together with
other monies of the village.
Section 6: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
approval according to law.
