AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 120 E. HIGGINS ROAD
FROM B-1 BUSINESS DISTRICT (SHOPPING CENTER) TO B-2 BUSINESS
DISTRICT (GENERAL BUSINESS)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing
duly called and held according to law, considered the petition to rezone property located at 120
E. Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village from B-1 Business District (Shopping Center) to B-2
Business District (General Business); and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village after
having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it
to be in the best interest of the Village that said property be rezoned as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the property located at 120 E. Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village Illinois
be and the same is hereby rezoned from B-1 Business District (Shopping Center) to B-2 Business
District (General Business), which property is legally described as follows:
LOT 1 IN JOHN L. MARKAY RESUBDIVISION, BEING A RESUBDIVISION IN
SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF REGISTERED
FEBRUARY 21, 1975 AS DOCUMENT NO. LR2795914, IN COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, (EXCEPTING FROM SAID LOT THAT PART TAKEN BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS IN CASE
NO. 93 L 50580 AND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID LOT 1; THENCE ON AN ASSUMED BEARING
OF NORTH 7 DEGREES 06 MINUTES 39 SECONDS EAST ALONG THE
WESTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT A DISTANCE OF 20.00 FEET; THENCE SOUTH
34 DEGREES 16 MINUTES 45 SECONDS EAST 22.70 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 80
DEGREES 46 MINUTES 06 SECONDS EAST 85.05 FEET TO THE SOUTHERLY
LINE OF SAID LOT 1; THENCE NORTH 82 DEGREES 47 MINUTES 23 SECONDS
WEST ALONG THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 1 A DISTANCE OF 100.00
FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING).
Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to amend the zoning map of the
Village to reflect the rezoning as set forth herein.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect form and after its passage
and approval according to law.
