AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-4-3-1 ONE AND TWO-WAY STOP
INTERSECTIONS OF THE ELK GROVE VILLAGE CODE TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL STOP SIGNS
WHEREAS, the Police Department, pursuant to a resident's service request, has
conducted a safety study regarding a need for stop signs at certain intersections in the Village;
and
WHEREAS, as a result of said study it was recommended that two additional stop signs
be installed at the following locations:
Bosworth Lane at Cedar Lane
Sycamore Drive at Aspen Lane
WHEREAS, after a review of said recommendation, the Mayor and Board of Trustees
believe it to be in the best interest of the Village for said stop signs to be installed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-4-3-1 of the Village Code be amended by adding thereto the
following:

Stop Street Location
Bosworth Lane Cedar Lane
Sycamore Drive Aspen Lane
Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject
to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars
($500.00) for each offense.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in
Pamphlet Form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
