AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-2-2, SPECIFIC NUISANCES
ENUMERATED, OF TITLE 4, CHAPTER 2, NUISANCES OF THE VILLAGE CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AS IT PERTAINS TO GROUND
FEEDING
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Title 4, Chapter 2, Subparagraph J, be fully amended to read as follows:
Feeding of Wildlife: It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly or intentionally
place or leave food of any kind outdoors or in a container placed outdoors in such a
manner as to create offensive odors or for the purpose of feeding wildlife or to become
an attractant to rodents, nuisance birds, wild animals, vermin or insects. Elevated bird
feeders are allowed as long as all feed is placed in a container or feeder designed for the
specific purpose of feeding birds.
Section2: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in
pamphlet form.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
