ILLINOIS HELD AT THE CHARLES J. ZETTEK MUNICIPAL BUILDING

Village President Dennis J. Gallitano called the meeting to order
at 8 : 03 p.m.

A quorum was present .
2 . PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
President Gallitano led the Trustees and members of the
audience in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
3 . APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on
July 25, 1995 as submitted.

4 . REPORT OF THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT - DENNIS J. GALLITANO
1 . PARADE - The Celebrate Elk Grove Parade held on Sunday,
had 95 entrants and was a huge success . The President
acknowledged those who worked to make the parade such a
success; the many volunteers and Trustee Nancy Czarnik
who assisted the Community Service Board. The Parade
Committee and especially Anne Feichter, Parade
Chairwoman, spent an enormous amount of time getting
the parade off to a very successful start .
5 . APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE WARRANT
Motion to authorize payment of invoices as shown on the
August 8 , 1995 Accounts Payable Warrant in the amount of
$584 , 737 . 39 .

Trustee Rettberg requested that Item G. consideration to adopt an
ordinance authorizing the execution of an agreement between the
Village of Elk Grove Village and the Suburban Bus Division of the
Regional Transportation Authority, be removed from the Consent
Agenda.
6 . CONSENT AGENDA
A. Screen Wear, 347 Lively Boulevard - Grant a request to
hold a warehouse sale of screen printing and embroidery
materials on August 9, 10, and 11 from 11 : 00 a.m. to
5 : 00 P.M.

B . Elk Grove Rotary Club Donation - Accept the donation of
a freezer with an estimated value of $500 for use in
the Health Department .
C. FY 1995-96 Capital Proiects Fund Budget - Increase in
the amount of $65, 000 for the installation of sidewalks
along Landmeier Road (south side from Ridge to
Woodview; north side from Wildwood to Perrie
Boulevard) .
D. 1995 Rotaryfest - Request to waive the $100 . 00 hydrant
meter deposit and the $40 .00 connection fee for the
provision of water at the Elk Grove Rotaryfest held
from August 2 through 6 , 1995 .
E. Director of Public Works - Authorize to attend the 1995
International Public Works Congress & Exposition in
Dallas, Texas from September 23 through 28, in an
amount not to exceed $1, 300 .
F . Health Services Coordinator - Authorize to attend the
1995 American Public Health Association Annual Meeting
in San Diego, CA. from October 28 through November 2,
1995 in an amount not to exceed $1, 715 .
H. Class 6B Status - Adopt Resolution No. 46-95 entitled,
"A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 23-95 AND
ADOPTING A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS
FOR CLASS 6B STATUS PURSUANT TO THE COOK COUNTY REAL
PROPERTY CLASSIFICATION ORDINANCE AS AMENDED JANUARY 1,
1995 FOR CERTAIN REAL ESTATE OWNED BY METAL IMPACT
CORPORATION LOT #159 SOUTHEAST CORNER OF OAKTON STREET

K. Code Variation - Grant a variation to the Village Code
to allow an unlit cold air balloon sign advertising the
Elk Grove Rotaryfest on School District property at the
intersection of Elk Grove Boulevard and Arlington
Heights Road from August 1 through August 6 , 1995 .

Whole meeting to discuss the JPZ Committee' s recommendation
has been changed from September 11, 1995 to Monday,
September 18 , 1995 at 6 : 00 p.m.
ELECTRO PAINTERS VARIANCE REQUEST - A meeting will be called
to consider this request sometime in mid-September. The
date will be announced at the next regular meeting of the
Village Board.

a. CABLE TV COMMITTEE - TRUSTEE PETRI
CONSULTANT REPORT - A report was distributed which
outlines Channel 6 and the Elk Grove Village cable
television involvement . The report is very good and
complementary to the Village .
b. COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD - TRUSTEE CZARNIR
PARADE - The President' s remarks were echoed that the
parade was a great success .
Winners of the parade entrants were as follows :

The Parade' s success was due to the efforts of everybody in the
Community Service Department, the volunteers, and Parade
Chairwoman, Anne Feichter.
40TH ANNIVERSARY - The Parade for the 40th Anniversary will
be as good or better next year and will be held on Sunday,
July 21, 1996 . Details will now start to be worked on and
participants in this year' s parade have been asked to keep
that date open for next year.
MEETING - The 40th Anniversary Committee will meet Monday,
August 14 , 1995 and will start formulating the first event
which will be a kickoff dinner dance to be held on
February 9, 1996 .
LOGO CONTEST - This contest is going on now and more
involvement is anticipated once school starts and art
classes from the High School and Junior High Schools begin
to participate . Applications with rules of the contest are
available at the Village Municipal Building.
15 . ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS & COMMUNICATIONS
PROCLAMATION - President Gallitano issued a proclamation
declaring the week of September 11 through 15, 1995 as
"SCHOOL SAFETY PATROL WEEK" .
Trustee Czarnik announced that Channel 6 will be showing a tape
of the Elk Grove Parade during the month of September.
16 . UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Village Manager presented ordinances that were directed
to be prepared by the Village attorney at the last meeting
of the Village Board.

Justin Hemming, 443 Lilac, addressed the Board requesting a
stop sign be installed at the intersection of Crest and Elk
Grove Boulevard.

The President explained the criteria required for a sign to
be installed and further stated that staff would look at
the intersection. The information will be forwarded to Mr.
Hemming.
