HomeMy WebLinkAboutVILLAGE BOARD - 09/01/1981 - ADJOURNED FROM 8-25-81 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ADJOURNED FROM AUGUST 25, 1981 TO SEPTEMBER 1 , 1981 President Charles J. Zettek called the meeting to order at 7: 13 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and directed the Village Clerk, Fay M. Bishop to call the roll . Upon the roll being called the following answered PRESENT: Trustees Joseph T. Bosslet , Ronald L. Chernick, Edward R. Hauser, Stephen M. Uhlarik; ABSENT: Trustees James P. Petri , Michael Tosto. Village Manager, Charles A. Willis were present at this meeting. It was moved by Trustee Hauser and seconded by Trustee Chernick that the Board adopt Ordinance No. 1476 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE CORPORATE AND MUNICIPAL PURPOSES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1 , 1981 , AND ENDING APRIL 30, 1982". The President directed the Clerk to call the roll on the motion and upon the roll being called the following answered AYE: Trustees Bosslet, Chernick, Hauser, Uhlarik; NAY: none; ABSENT: Trustees Petri , Tosto; whereupon the President voted "AYE" and declared the motion carried. President Zettek reported that he attended the Northwest Municipal Conference meeting held on August 27 , 1981 where discussion was held on the 1% tax, recently initiated by the City of Chicago, and its impact upon suburban communities. President Zettek referred legislation adopted by the City of Park Ridge and a proposed resolution from the Northwest Municipal Conference to the Board for their review and recommendation. President Zettek also referred to a request for a Liquor License, for pack- age liquor, for a location in the Elk Grove Industrial Park. The Board will also take this request under review and discussion. It was moved by Trustee Chernick and seconded by Trustee Hauser that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation; where- upon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m. Fav M. Bishop Village Clerk Charles J.
