HomeMy WebLinkAboutFIRE & POLICE COMMISSION - 02/25/1991 - MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE HELD ON February 25, 1991 Chairman Gayle B. Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, and noted for the record that the following were present: Alan J. Shapiro, DDS and H. Robert Goldsmith. Also present were Attorney Peter Felice, Fire Chief James D. MacArthur and Deputy Fire Chief William Clark. It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Mr. Goldsmith that the minutes of January 28, 1991 be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS CFie MacArthur, Deputy Chief Clark and Peter Felice discussed hiring dates of new firefighters with the Commission. Chief MacArthur and Deputy Chief Clark left the meeting at 9:00 p.m. OLD BUSINESS Dave Christianson arrived at 9:00 p.m. to discuss and review the proposed Rules and Regulations of the Fire and Police Commission. Presentation and A royal of Invoices Commissioner Go dsmith presented the following invoices for authorization of payment: Peter A. Felice and Associates Retainer January and February 1991 140.00 per month P.C. I. for Multiple Interview Assessments Police Officers - $50.00 each 1,470.00 It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by H. Robert Goldsmith that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. Adjournment It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Alan J. Shapiro, DDS that the meeting be adjourned.
