Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, and noted for the record that the following were present: Alan J. Shapiro, DDS, H. Robert Goldsmith. It was moved by Mr. Goldsmith and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the minutes of January 24, 1994 be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES Peter A. Felice retainer fees For February 1994 & March 1994 at $160 $ 320.00 Total of Bills $ 320.00 It was moved by Mr. Goldsmith and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS The Commissioners discuss the Firefighters Eligibility List which will be expiring March 16, 1994. They will set a meeting later with Chief MacArthur to start set-up dates for that examination. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Commissioners went into executive session with Deputy Police Chief Steve Schmidt to discuss Fact Sheet and promotion process for the Sergeants exam. The Commissioners decided the exam will be administrated this fall . Regular meeting continued. Fire and Police -ommission Minutes March 7, 1994 Page 2. CORRESPONDENCE A Notice of Suspension was issued on February 3, 1994 by the Chief of Police to an Officer for one(I) for failure to appear in court when required or scheduled. A Notice of Suspension was issued on February 15, 1994 by the Chief of Police to an Officer for one(I) for failure to be prompt for duty assignment including roll call and court appearance. This is his sixth lateness in the last ten(10) months. A Written Reprimand was issued on February 10, 1994 by the Chief of Police to an Officer for failure to be prompt for duty assignment, including roll call and court appearance. A Written Reprimand was issued on March 1, 1994 by the Chief of Police to an Officer for failure to operate Village vehicle in a safe and prudent manner or to obey related traffic laws. OLD BUSINESS No business for discussion. PENDING Sergeants test was previously discuss this evening in executive session with Deputy Police Steve Schmidt. Testing will take place in the fall . Next meeting is scheduled March 28, 1994, at the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue at 8:00 p.m. Adjournment It was moved by Mr. Goldsmith and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the meeting be adjourned.
