THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON March 28, 1994
Chairman Gayle B. Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.
in the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village,
and noted for the record that the following were present: Alan J.
Shapiro, DDS, (ABSENT H. Robert Goldsmith) .
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Chairman Bantner that
the minutes of March 7, 1994 be approved as submitted and that the
Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES
No bills were presented at this meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
No new business at this time.
CORRESPONDENCE
March 3, 1994, the Chief of Police issued a Notice of Suspension
to an Officer for failure to operate Village vehicles in a safe and
prudent manner, or to obey related traffic laws.
On March 15, 1994, the Chief of Police issued a Written Reprimand
to an Officer for failure to be prompt for duty assignment, including
roll call and court appearance.
March 21, 1994, the Chief of Police issued a Notice of Suspension
to an Officer for violation of any law or ordinance and for any action
or conduct which impedes the Department's efforts to achieve its goals
or brings discredit upon the Department.
OLD BUSINESS
No business for discussion.
PENDING
Sergeants test will be conducted in the fall .
Dates and times for Firefighter exam to be set.
Next meeting is scheduled for April 26, 1994, at the Municipal
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue at 8:00 p.m.

Adjournment
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Chairman Bantner that
the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation;
whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried and the meeting
adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
