Chairman Gayle B. Bantner called the meeting to order at 9:330.m.
in the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk
Grove Village, and noted for the record that the following were
present: Alan J. Shapiro, DDS, Gayle B. Bantner and Ted E. Thompson.
It was moved by Ted Thompson and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that
the minutes of July 24, 1995 be approved as submitted and that the
Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried.

It was moved by Ted Thompson and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that
the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared
the motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Commissioners convened for an Executive Session to interview
two(2) Firefighter Candidates, Daniel Schneider and Jim Raymond. Both
were offered positions with the Fire Department pending their medical
exams.
The Commissioners also met with the Village Manager, Gary Parrin
in Executive Session.
The regular meeting was reconvened.
NEW BUSINESS
The Commissioners instructed Evelyne Layton tO schedule two(2) six
month probationary reviews with Firefighters Douglas E. Brammer and
Lance R. Harris on Wednesday, September 20th for their completion of
six months of service with the Fire Department.
CORRESPONDENCE
1. Notice of Suspension issued on August 15, 1995, by Chief
Engelbrecht for one(1) day to an officer for failure to appear in
court when required or scheduled.
2. The Summer 1995 issue of The Up Size published by Illinois
Professional Firefighter Association was received.

Next meeting is scheduled for September 20 , 1995, at the Charles
J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue at 8:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Ted Thompson that the
meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation;
whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried and the meeting
adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
