OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON September 24, 1996
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the
Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove
village, and noted for the record that the following were- present:
Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, Alan J. Shapiro, DDS and Ted E. Thompson.
It was moved by Ted Thompson and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that
the minutes of August 21, 1996 be approved as submitted and that the
Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation; whereupon the Acting Chairman declared the motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Commissioners convened to Executive Session to hold second
oral interview with Firefighter Applicant Belinda Sindelar.
Firefighter Applicant Sindelar was offered the Firefighter position
pending medical exam.
The regular meeting was reconvened

it was moved by Ted Thompson and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the
Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion
was voted upon by acclamation; whereupon the Chairman declared the
motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE
1. Letter of Retirement received from Firefighter James Kemp to
Commissioners effective September 3, 1996.
2. Copy of letter sent to Firefighter James Kemp from Fire Chief
MacArthur thanking him for his 25 years of service.
3 . A Notice of Suspension was issued by the Chief of Police on
September 6, 1996 to police officer for inattention to duty and
failure to inventory and process recovered property.
4. Letter from Firefighter Applicant Daniel Rich inquiring why the
Commissioners denied him employment with the village of Elk Grove.
The decision was made to send letter to Peter Felice, Fire & Police
Attorney, for advise.

Firefighter Physical Ability Test to be held at the Streamwood
Fire Station on Saturday, October 12, 1996.
Next meeting is scheduled October 28, 1996 at the Charles J.
Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue at 8:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Ted Thompson and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the
meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation;
whereupon the Acting Chairman declared the motion carried and the
meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
