THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON JULY 28, 1998
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek
Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, and noted for the record
that the following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner,Alan J. Shapiro and H.
Robert Goldsmith.
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the minutes of the
June 23, 1998 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the
reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman
declared the motion carred.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
CORRESPONDENCE
1. A retirement memo from Captain Robert S. Menas from the Fire Department.
2. Two resignation letters from the two newly hired police officers.
3. A memo to the IAFF President in regards to the recent grievance filed by a Firefighter.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was voted upon acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner
declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 11:00 p.m.
