OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON AUGUST 25, 1998
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 9:10 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek
Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, and noted for the record
that the following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, Alan J. Shapiro and H.
Robert Goldsmith.
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the minutes of the
June 23, 1998 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the
reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman
declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES
An invoice in the amount of$80.00 and another in the amount of$480.00 from Theodore
Polygraph for services rendered for Polygraph Testing for seven (7) Firefighter
applicants.
An invoice in the amount of$320.00 for retainer fee for Peter A. Felice & Associates.
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the Board authorize
the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation
whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Board entered into Executive Session to review a one (1)year Firefighter, one (1)
year Police Officer and one (1) 6 month probationary Firefighter.
Deputy Steve Schmidt met with the Commissioners to discuss the up-coming Police
Officer entry exam.
CORRESPONDENCE
I. A Written Reprimand for a Police Officer for violating Rules of Conduct and
Failure to Obey Department Order.
2. A Notice of Suspension for a Police Officer for violating Rules of Conduct and
Failure to Obey Department Orders.
3. A reprimand for a Police Officer for failing to be present at Traffic Court.
4. A memo from Deputy Schmidt in regards to Illinois Law Enforcement Physical
Fitness Standards and Programs.
5. A Subpoena for a Firefighter from the Elk Grove Firefighters Pension Board.

Police Officer Entry Exam scheduled for November 6`h and November 78i.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was voted upon acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner
declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 10:40 p.m.
