MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON JANUARY 21, 1999
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the
following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, Alan J. Shapiro and Robert
Goldsmith.
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the minutes of the
December 15, 1998 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with
the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon the
Chairman declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES
An invoice in the amount of$320.00 for Peter A. Felice and Associates for Retainer Fees
for the months of December, 1998 and January, 1999.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
CORRESPONDENCE
1. Written Reprimand for a Police Officer for violating Rules of Conduct
and Failure to be Prompt for Duty.
2. Notice of Suspension for a Police Officer for violating Rules of Conduct
and Failure to Adequately Secure Equipment.
3. Notice of Suspension for a Police Officer for Failure to Operate Vehicle
in a Safe Manner and Obey Traffic Laws.

Multiple Interviews for new Police Officers.

Upcoming Firefighter testing.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was voted upon acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner
declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
