OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON FEBRUARY 16, 1999
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the
following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, and Robert Goldsmith.
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the minutes of
the January 21, 1999 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with
the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon the
Chairman declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL
An invoice in the amount of$1,188.00 to Police Consultants, Inc. for 66 Multiple
Interview Assessments reports for police officer candidates.
An invoice in the amount of$687.50 to Pete Felice for legal services for a matter of
arbitration.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
A 1 year review for a Firefighter.
CORRESPONDENCE
I. An arbitration matter between Elk Grove Firefighters and Elk Grove Village,
2. A Notice of Suspension for a police officer for Violating Rules of Conduct.
3. A Notice of Suspension for a police officer for Violating Rules of Conduct
and making a False Report.
4. A Notice of Suspension for a police officer for Violating Rules of Conduct,
Inattention to Duty and Leaving Assigned Area.
5. A Notice of Suspension for a police officer for Violating Rules of Conduct,
and Failure to Accomplish Department Goal,
6. A recommendation letter from State Rep. Terry Parke for a police officer
candidate.
7. A notice of a resignation by a Police Sergeant.

8. A memo from the Police Chief in regards to filling the Police Sergeant
vacancy.
9. A memo from the police Chief requesting promoting a police officer
the Police Sergeant position.

Individual Oral Interviews—Police Officers.

Preliminary discussions for the upcoming Firefighter testing.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was voted upon acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner
declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 11:30 p.m.
