OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON MARCH 25, 1999
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the
following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, and Robert Goldsmith.
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the minutes of
the February 16, 1999 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense
with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon the
Chairman declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL
1. An invoice in the amount of$800.00 in payment to Theodore Polygraph
for services rendered to 10 police officer candidates.
2. An invoice in the amount of$2,905.00 to Dr. Boyajian for conducting
medicals for 7 police officer candidates.
3. Payment for retainer for Peter Felice for the months of February and March,
1999 in the amount of$320.00.
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the Board
authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Dr. Mendehlsohn, PCS review of police officer applicants
Deputy Bill Clark reviewing upcoming firefighter testing.
CORRESPONDENCE
1. Correspondence in regards to a police officer candidate in regards to the
reason that he was not present for his oral interview.
2. A resignation letter from a police officer.
3. A suspension notice for a firefighter for being involved in an accident.

NEW BUSINESS
In discussions with Dr. Mendehison, Deputy Clark and the Commissioners, Chairman
Bantner advised that it would be more cost effective for the Village to conduct the
applicant psychological testing prior to sending them for their medical.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner
declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
