HomeMy WebLinkAboutFIRE & POLICE COMMISSION - 06/15/1999 - MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE HELD ON JUNE 15, 1999 VChairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner and Robert Goldsmith. It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Robert Goldsmith that the minutes of the May 18, 1999 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL 1. An invoice in the amount of$4,600 to PCI for payment for 150 Firefighter exams. 2. An invoice in the amount of$1,154.67 to The Register Star newspaper for Firefighter testing ads. It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Robert Goldsmith that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION Deputy Schmidt in attendance to discuss upcoming Police Officer testing. CORRESPONDENCE 1. A Written Reprimand for a Police Officer for violating Rules of Conduct and Failure to Be Present for Court. 2. A Suspension for a Police Officer for losing equipment, violating Rules of Conduct and Failure to Adequately Secure Property or Equipment. 3. A Retirement Letter from a Police Officer. 4. Review of three Performance Evaluations from three (3) Firefighters. PENDING Firefighter testing process. 2 NEW BUSINESS Upcoming Police Officer Testing;— Orientation September 13, 1999 and Testing September 18, 1999. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Robert Goldsmith that the meeting be adjourned.
