HomeMy WebLinkAboutFIRE & POLICE COMMISSION - 01/13/2000 - �L T MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE HELD ON JANUARY 13, 2000 Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, Dr. Alan J. Shapiro, Secretary and Robert Goldsmith, Commissioner. It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the minutes of the November 16, 1999 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES 1. Invoice in the amount of$320.00 to Peter A. Felice & Associates for retainer fees. 2. Invoice in the amount of$160.00 to Theodore Polygraph Service for one police applicant and one fire applicant. EXECUTIVE SESSION Commissioners entered into executive session to review six month probationary period for four police officers. CORRESPONDENCE I. Letter regarding HB 1165 dealing the disciplinary procedures. 2. Notice of one day suspension for police officer. 3. Appeal for one day suspension for police officer-final release form is pending with attorneys. 4. Letter of resignation from probationary police officer pursuing employment elsewhere. 5. Letter from police officer candidate Yorli Huff on eligibility list asking to be withdrawn. 6. Letter from police officer candidate asking why he did not make candidate list. 7. Received State of Illinois Certificates for police officers Capparelli, Carlson, Guenther, Maglio, Marusich and Bernstein. PENDING NEW BUSINESS ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Robert Goldsmith that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Alan J.
