\, MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE CLERK
OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS S OFFICE
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON JANUARY 14,2001
Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 11:30 A.M. in the Charles J. Zettek
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the
following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, Dr. Alan J. Shapiro, Secretary and
Robert Goldsmith, Commissioner.
It was moved by Secretary Shapiro and seconded by Commissioner Goldsmith that the
minutes of the December 19, 2000 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board
dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation
whereupon Chairman Bantner declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES
The following invoices were presented for payment:
1. Peter A. Felice &Associates, Invoice 563 dated 12/28100 in the amount of
$160.00—Retainer fee for December 2000.
2. Theodore Polygraph Service, Inc. —Invoice 12843 dated 01104101 in the
amount of$100.00—Polygraph test for firefighter candidate.
3. Theodore Polygraph Service, Inc. —Invoice 12816 dated 12/20/00 in the
amount of$80.00—Polygraph test for firefighter candidate.
4. Police Consultants, Inc. —Invoice #2011 dated 01/03/01 in the amount of
$400.00—Psychological Evaluation for firefighter candidate.
It was moved by Dr. Shapiro and seconded by Bob Goldsmith that the Board authorize
the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation
whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
1. Discussed Rules and Regulations of the Board of Fire &Police
Commissioners and Fact Sheets. Commissioners instructed secretary to
retain a copy of the current fact sheets in the Rules and Regulations binder.
2. Discussed Fire Lieutenants examination and cost of printing legal notice vs.
obtaining waiver signatures. Secretary was instructed to print legal notice in
newspaper.
3. Conducted police officer orientation. Finalized plans for written examination

4. Secretary to contact Fire Department in reference to updatingpersonnel
board.

NEW BUSINESS
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Dr. Shapiro that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner
declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
