Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Charles J. ette
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the
following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner and Commissioner H. Robert
Goldsmith.
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Commissioner Goldsmith that the
minutes of August 21, 2001 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board
dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation
whereupon Chairman Bantner declared the motion carried.
PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES
The following invoices were presented for payment:
1. Police Consultants—$500.00—Invoice 2296 dated 9/6/01 for
psychological evaluation off:refighter candidate.
2. The Clinic/Dr. Boyajian- $990.00—Invoice dated 9/6/01 for pre-
employment medical examinations for firefighter candidates.
3. Police Consultants—$500.00—Invoice 2274 dated 8/21/01 for
psychological evaluation offirefighter candidate.
4. Police Consultants—$500.00—Invoice 2294 dated 09/05/01 for
psychological evaluation off:refighter candidate.
5. Police Consultants—$1,000.00—Invoice 2287 dated 08/30/01 for
psychological evaluation off:refighter candidate.
6. The Clinic/Dr. Boyajian- $990.00—Invoice dated 8/23/01 for pre-
employment medical examinations for firefighter candidates.
7. Theodore Polygraph Service, Inc. - $100.00—Invoice 13138 dated
8/21/01 for polygraph examination offirefghter candidate.
8. Police Consultants- $911.00—Invoice 2206 dated 6/27101 for multiple
interview assessments for firefighter candidates.
9. The Clinic/Dr. Boyajian- $495.00—Invoice dated 6/28/01 for pre-
employment medical examination for police candidate.
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded by Commissioner Goldsmith that the
Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE
1. Copy ofpromotional brochure received from 1/0 Solutions.
2. Copy of Fire Lieutenants Eligibility List dated 8/30/01 with military credit
revisions.
3. Copy of response letter sent to IFPCA concerning their proposed legislation.
4. Copy of letter from Chief Schmidt to Elk Grove High School confirming
reservation of their cafeteria for our written examination on 9/30/01 and the
Field House on 12/2/01 for the POWER test.
5. Copy of written reprimand to Police Off cer for violating section 26.1.1A
Rules of Conduct, Rule 49,failure to appear in court when required or
scheduled.
6. Copier of appointment letters to 4 firefighters.
7. Copy of letter from Firefighter requesting access to the component scores of
his lieutenant exam.
8. Copy of letter from Village Manager concerning Fire Union grievance 92001-
5.
PENDING
1. Police Officer Hiring Process—Continuing—two present police officer
openings.
2. Firefighter Hiring Process —Continuing—two present openings.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded Commissioner Goldsmith that the
meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman
Bamner declared the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
