HomeMy WebLinkAboutFIRE & POLICE COMMISSION - 06/11/2002 - c: Village Clerk MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING s OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE '�44 HELD ON NNE 11, 2002 Chairman Bantner called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Gayle B. Bantner, Commissioner H. Robert Goldsmith, and Secretary Alan J. Shapiro, DDS. It was moved by Commissioner Goldsmith and seconded by Secretary Shapiro that the minutes of May 21, 2002 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was moved upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Bantner declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES The following invoices were presented for payment: 1. Peter A. Felice &Associates—Invoice 714 dated 611102 in the amount of $160.00 for May 2002 retainer fee. 2. Police Consultants, Inc. —Invoice 2554 dated 5129102 in the amount of $943.92—Police Officer Multiple Interview Assessments. 3. Police Consultants, Inc. —Invoice 2561 dated 5131102 in the amount of $500.00—Psychological examination for FIF candidate. 4. Police Consultants, Inc. —Invoice 2564 dated 6105102 in the amount of $500.00 Psychological Examination for FIF candidate. It was moved by Commissioner Goldsmith and seconded by Chairman Bantner that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION 1. Individual oral interviews for police sergeant candidates. 2. Copy of memo to police sergeant candidates advising schedule for individual oral interviews. 4. Copy of memo to Chief Schmidt requesting numeric and narrative assessments for each candidate participating in the sergeant's promotional process. 5. Memo from Chief MacArthur detailing personalized developmental action plan for probationaryfirefighter. 6. Copy of letter from IFPCA regarding revisions to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Act. 7. Copy of memo from Chief MacArthur regarding probationaryfirefighter's monthly evaluation. 8. Copy of memo from Chief MacArthur regarding probationaryfirefighter's monthly evaluation. PENDING Police Officer Hiring Process—two present openings. Firefighter Hiring Process—two present openings. Police Sergeant's Promotional Process NEW BUSINESS ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Chairman Bantner and seconded Commissioner Goldsmith that the meeting be adjourned.
