Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on July 17. 2001 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Committee discussed the likely delegations, including Village employees for the
Sister City excursions to Termini Imerese. A total of 32 individuals are planned for the
delegation, and at this time, the Sister City Committee has not confirmed business
representatives. The Committee discussed whether the Village should cover travel costs
for non-supervisory employees participating in the visit, and the consensus of the
Committee was to approve funding their travel expenses because they will perform
official duties for the delegation. The Sister City Committee will be asked to compensate
the Village for travel expenses. The Committee directed the Village Attorney to survey
other communities and their Sister City travel policies.
