Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on September 13,2001 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Litigation matter.

Liti ation
The Village Manager reported that the Fire Union has filed two unfair labor practice
grievances with the Village.
The first grievance relates to the increase in deductibles for non-formulary drugs from
$25 to $50. The Union's position is this change needs to be negotiated as part of their
contract.
The second item relates to the Lieutenant eligibility list. The Union's position is the Fire
and Police Commission is discriminating against union representatives,because the
Union leader is the only individual currently on the list, and he is 17"on the list.
The Village Manager will report any updates to the Village Board.
