GROVE MALL REDEVELOPMENT COST DISCUSSION
Hamilton Partners made a presentation to the Committee
regarding the cost of additional materials being used to enhance
the Grove Mall redevelopment project. Areas discussed by the
Committee included entrance features, paving, lighting concepts,
landscaping, and irrigation. Upon further discussion the
consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to have brick pavers installed in the driveway just
west of the plaza area;
• to have a 50/50 split of brick pavers and concrete
throughout the entire site; and
• to have the Village Attorney prepare a draft ordinance
approving the development referencing each plan by
specific date of the plan.
The Committee also discussed financing options in regards to
funding the improvements to be made on the property. Upon
discussion, the consensus of the Committee was to have staff
research different T.I.F. Financing options.
UPCOMING MEETINGS
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to schedule an Executive Session to discuss the Sale
of Property on Wednesday, March 5, at 5:30 p.m. in the
Chernick Conference Room; and
• to reschedule the March 11, 1997 Public Vehicle
Commission meeting to March 25, 1997 at 7:30 p.m.
