Womer, Chicago Tribune RELOCATION OF O TPDOOR WARNING TR .N It was the consensus of the Committee to have the outdoor warning siren relocated to the existing landscape area in the northwest corner of the Municipal Complex parking lot. In addition, the Fire Department was asked to look at other potential uses for the pole, including parking light use. R E •O ATTON OF AT . •TT . D SH The consensus of the Committee was to have staff prepare a plat of survey indicating the location and type of screening for the proposed satellite disk. LIVE BROADCAST OF MEETINGS The consensus of the Committee was to have staff work with Channel 6 to arrange for live broadcasts of regularly scheduled Village Board meetings and to provide funds in the amount of $1, 112.50 (50* split with the Park District) paid from the top of the cable franchise fees to purchase the necessary equipment. FIRE STATIOU CONSTRUCTION The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to concur with the recommendation of the Capital Improvements Committee to proceed with Design #1, with the inclusion of a gabled roof; • to have the Fire Department research the possibility of soundproofing the building from aircraft noise; and • to have the Fire Department research all technological advancements which may provide potential long-term monetary savings to the Village. ENG TNFFRTNC_ & CObff4WITY D VELOPMENT STAFF PnqTTTnms It was the consensus of the Committee to adopt an ordinance at the June 10, 1997 Village Board meeting which would amend the Engineering & Community Development staff as follows: • to create the full-time position of Permits Technician; and, • to upgrade one Senior Clerk position from part-time to full- time. MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVTTIES It was the consensus of the Committee to contact the Elk Grove VFW to ask if they would be interested in sponsoring a Memorial Day Activity.
