Peterson, Elk Grove Journal LOCATION OF SATELLITE DISH The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to approve installation of the MediaOne satellite dish at the southeast corner of the Pavilion as recommended; and • to split the cost of a chain-link fence for the satellite dish with the Park District to be paid by off the top of cable franchise fees. PARKWAY SIGNS ON WEEKENDS The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to maintain the current policy regarding parkway signs; and • to have the JPZ Committee review the feasibility of limiting the number and duration of candidate campaign signs. POSSIBLE ANNEXATIONS The consensus of the Committee was to maintain the current policy regarding unincorporated properties and review the issue again next spring. It was also stated that the Industrial Commercial Revitalization Commission would be reviewing the potential uses for unincorporated properties in the industrial park. MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITY The consensus of the Committee was to have staff develop a list of potential Memorial Day activities for consideration by the Village Board and the Elk Grove VFW. LION'S B FIREWORKS R •o I' . T The consensus of the Committee was to approve a donation of $7, 500 to the Lions Club for the 1997 4th of July fireworks display. The donation and waiver of fees associated with the event will be addressed by the Village Board under New Business at the June 10 Village Board meeting. SUBURBAN O'HARE COMMISSION (SOC) MEETING WITH VILLAGE BOARD The consensus of the Committeewas as follows: • to have Suburban O'Hare Commission officials make a presentation to the Village Board regarding the impact of O'Hare Airport at 6:00 p.m. on July 15, 1997; and • to invite officials from Des Plaines and Park Ridge to attend a demonstration of the Suburban O'Hare Commission noise monitoring equipment at 7:30 p.m. on July 15, 1997. OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN LOCATION The consensus of the Committee was to approve the installation of the outdoor warning siren at the southwest corner of the Municipal Complex building inside the screened electrical equipment on the south side of the building.
