TOWN CENTER SCULPTURES
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to maintain a joint committee of the Village and Park District to
guide the Town Square Sculpture Project;
• to have Park District staff prepare detailed information on
potential costs and a phased approach to the purchase/installation
of statues; and
• to identify alternative funding sources.
WEST SIDE COMMUNITY EVENTS SIGN
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff contact Super
Kmart regarding the feasibility of installing a community events sign on
their property at the northwest corner of Biesterfield and Meacham
Roads.
ELK GROVE EXCHANGE SCHEDULING
The consensus of the Committee was to schedule the show at 7 p.m.
on the first Wednesday of every other month starting in September of
1997.
•Y 3 ELK GROVE EXCHANGE
The consensus of the Committee was to attend the July 3, 1997 Elk
Grove Exchange.
HIGH SCHOOL PARKING ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS
The consensus of the Committee was to refer the issue to the
Judiciary, Planning and Zoning Committee for review and recommendation.
BUSSE WOOD DAM MODIFICATION
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff convene a group
of officials, including representation from Cook County, Illinois
Department of Transportation (I.D.O.T.) , and State Representatives to
discuss possible construction dates for the Busse Woods Dam
Modification.
FIFTY FABULOUS PLACES SUMMIT
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff contact Melissa
Giovagnolli to inquire about the feasibility and funding sources for a
summit in Elk Grove.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Trustee Petri moved, and Trustee Lissner seconded a motion to
enter into Executive Session for discussion of Personnel issues. Upon
voting, the motion carried unanimously.
The Village Board entered into Executive Session at 7:40 p.m.
