y MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING
ELK GROVE FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND
FEBRUARY 1, 1988
A meeting of the Firemen's Pension Fund was held on' Monday, February 1, 1988 in
the Headquarters Fire Station, 101 Biesterfield Road. The meeting was called to
order by President Walter J. Kriesant at 7:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL
On Roll Call the following members ,were present: Walter J. Kriesant, Patricia S.
Smith, George C. Coney, Charles B. Henrici, and Joseph Gardner III. Absent were:
Charles J. Zettek, George Knickerbocker, Harvey R. Speiden, and Jerry L. Norris.
MINUTES
Motion by C. Henrici, seconded by P. Smith to accept the October 19, 1987 Special
Meeting Minutes, November 2, 1987 Minutes, .December 15,1987 Special Meeting
Minutes, and the January 21, 1988 Special Meeting Minutes as written and dispense
with their reading. Motion passed unanimously.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Treasurer G. Coney submitted a Balance Sheet and Schedule Of Investments of the
Pension Fund as of January 28, 1988. Also attached was a Disbursement Register
covering the period from May 27, 1987 to January 27, 1988. Treasurer G. Coney
reviewed the Balance Sheet, Schedule of Investments, and Disbursement Register
with the Board members and explained their contents. G. Coney informed the Board
he still had not received a final report from Birger Nyborg & Co, , Ltd. , just
three bills. The Treasurer reported the Fund had received an excellent interest
rate on the last investments. Motion by J. Gardner III, seconded by C. Henrici to
accept the Treasurer's Report and place the Balance Sheet, Schedule, of Investments,
Disbursement Register on file with the Pension 'Board Minutes. Motion passed urian
imously.
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
President W. Kriesant and C. Henrici reported on the meeting they had with Dr. E.
Semerad on February 1, 1988 about the diagnosis and prognosis of W. Clifford.
A discussion followed:
On the specifics of the discussion with Dr. E. Semerad.
What was best for W. Clifford.
Setting precedents for future Fund members.
Possible law suits.
Motion by C. Henrici, seconded by P. Smith to accept W. Clifford Jr. into the Fire-
men's Pension Fund.
Jerry L. Norris arrived at the meeting at 7:53 P.M. An explanation of the earlier
report was given and a discussion followed.

the Pension Board's decision.

Motion by P. Smith, seconded by C. Henrici to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously.
