The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mass
mailing of the Business Matters newsletter subject to the
addition of an article on the Community Spirit Award Program and
minor modifications as noted by the Committee

President Johnson noted the SOC press ccnference on October
19, 1997 and requested that Board members try to attend.

The consensus of the Committee was to tentatively cancel the
November 25 and December 23, 1997 Village Board meetings subject
to confirming the accounts payable and tax levy schedules of the
Finance Department.
LONSDALR RESIDENT RESPONSE
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff contact the
Cook County Highway Department (CCHD) regarding the feasibility
of installing a barrier median on Arlington Heights Road to allow
a "right turn only" from westbound Lonsdale Road. If CCHD will
not permit a barrier median, the consensus of the Committee was
to have a cul-de-sac installed at the intersection of Lonsdale
and Arlington Heights Road.
PAR TNG AT ELK GROVE HTGH SCHOOL•
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the JPZ
Committee recommendation to prohibit parking in the vicinity of
Elk Grove High School on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. An
ordinance amending the Municipal Code will be adopted at the
October 14, 1997 Village Board meeting.

The consensus of the Committee was to approve the Citizens
Guide to Village Board meetings as recommended by the Information
Committee and to have copies available at the Municipal Complex
Library, Pavilion, and Senior Center.
COMMUNITY INTERNET PROJECT
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the
recommendation of the Information Committee and to proceed with
the development of the Community Internet Project.
AT&T/SPRINT PCS MONOPOLE
The consensus of the Committee was to have further
discussion of this issue following the Village Board meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
