POLTCE SQUAD CARS
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the
recommendation of the Village Manager to recondition nine (9)
existing squad cars and to purchase three (3) Chevy Tahoes for
use by supervisory personnel . Authorization for the Village
Manager to proceed with the reconditioning and purchase of these
vehicles will be considered at the November 11, 1997 Village
Board meeting.
NEWSLETTER ARTICLES
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mass
mailing of the newsletter articles subject to the addition of an
article on the Youth Commission as well as minor changes noted by
the Village Board.
MES FRAUCHTRF AGREEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the amended
franchise agreement with MFS Telecommunications for local phone
service. A resolution formally adopting the amendment will be
considered at the Village Board meeting on November 11, 1997.
TAX LEVY DETERMINATION
The consensus of the Committee was to direct the Finance
Director to prepare the tax levy for 1997 in accordance with
Option #1 which will increase the Village's total levy request by
1 . 9e including the decrease in debt service levies. The levy
adoption ordinance will be prepared for consideration by the
Village Board at the December 9, 1997 Village Board meeting.
=UAL AID AGREEMNT WITH WOOD DALE FIRE PROTECTION QTRTRTCT
The consensus of the Committee was to enter into a 90-day
trial agreement with the Wood Dale Fire Protection District to
determine if a mutual aid agreement for fire protection is
feasible within the proposed boundaries.
REMOTE CAMERAS FOR CHANNEL 6
The consensus of the Committee was to have Channel 6 work
with the Village to determine the feasibility and cost of
locating remote cameras in the Council Chambers. Funding options
for the purchase of remote cameras will be considered after
further information is provided.
LONSDAL•E ROAD CUL-DE-SAC DESIGN
The consensus of the Committee was to discuss the Lonsdale
Road cul-de-sac design at the December 9, 1997 Committee of the
Whole meeting.
GIRL SCOUT BUILDING - 550 HIGGINS ROAD
The consensus of the Committee was to advise Representative
Parke and the Girl Scout Council that they should proceed with
the standard process required for obtaining a special use permit
to allow a church in the B-2 Business District.

The consensus of the Committee was to reschedule the January
Elk Grove Exchange from January 1 to January 8, 1998.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Trustee Prochno moved, and Trustee Czarnik seconded a
motion, to enter into Executive Session for discussion of
Personnel . Upon voting, the motion carried unanimously.
The meeting entered into Executive Session at 7:45 p.m.
