TOWN CENTER LANDSCAPE PLAN
Todd Berlinghoff explained that revisions had been made to the Town
Center Landscape Plan to accommodate modifications made for walkways,
snowpiles and utility installation. Upon discussing the landscaping
changes, the consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to have evergreen trees (arborvitae) re-installed behind the
Dominick's building; -
• to have Hamilton Partners provide landscaping for the utility
boxes located at the southeast corner of Biesterfield Road and
the Municipal Complex access driveway;
• to have Hamilton Partners install evergreen bushes along the
western portion of the parking lot facing residential
properties on Arlington Heights Road in order to screen
headlights; and
• to have Hamilton Partners prepare landscape plans for the
southeast corner of Biesterfield Road and the Municipal Complex
access driveway for future consideration by the Village
TOWN CENTER SIGNAGE
The consensus of the Committee was to have the Town Center
identification signage on Biesterfield Road relocated to the east of
the Walgreen's building to make it more visible to the public.
TOWN CENTER BOL ARD rTQHTINC
The consensus of the Committee was to select the 3 1/2 foot, square
bollard lights. The light fixtures will utilize metal halide lighting
and will be weathered copper color to match the standard lighting
fixtures previously selected.
TOWN CENTER PARK BENCHES
The consensus of the Committee was to have Hamilton Partners provide
prices and examples of both plastic and wood benches which are
constructed with metal sides and three braces.
TOWN CENTER BUILDING ELEVATIONS
The consensus of the Committee was to select Option #1 (with awnings
for Buildings B and C as described in the Village Manager's January 15,
1998 memo.
TOWN CENTER ENTRANCE FEATURES
The consensus of the Committee was to have Hamilton Partners present
concepts and designs of potential entrance features for consideration
by the Village Board.
