Rooney, Daily Herald BRUSH COLLECTION PROGRAM The consensus of the Committee was to discuss the possibility of implementing a Brush Collection Program at the March 24, 1998 Committee of the Whole meeting. BUSINESS MATTERS NEWSLETTER The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mass mailing of the Business Matters Newsletter subject to changes and the addition of the "Relay for Life" article. GQQSE CONTRQF The consensus of the Committee was to have staff contact the Northwest Municipal Conference (NWMC) and other Councils of Government to ask for support of legislation which would assist municipalities with controlling the goose population. ADVERTISEMENT TRT ELK GROVE JOURNAL The consensus of the Committee was to not advertise in the Business and Industry Edition of the Elk Grove Journal. C08MNITY NEEM13 A-SSRERMENT The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to have copies of the Needs Assessment results distributed to Department Heads and other local elected officials, • to have staff issue the press release of the results as drafted; • to have staff place the results on the Village's home web pages; and • to have the results made available to the public by request through the Community Service Office. SOAP BOX DERBY Representatives of Soap Box Derby answered questions concerning the location, possible dates and various logistical aspects of holding a soap box derby in the Village. After discussion, the consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to not allow a soap box derby event to take place in May or June of 1998; • to have staff research the soap box derby including attendance at a local race event; • to contact the Cook County Forest Preserve District to ascertain the feasibility of using the Busse Woods hill on a long term basis. EXSCUT_TVS SESSION Trustee Czarnik moved and Trustee Dill seconded a motion to enter into Executive Session for matters of personnel and land acquisition. Upon voting, the motion was unanimously approved.
