Rooney, Daily Herald DISTRICT #54 SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER The consensus of the Committee was to discuss the District - #54 School Resource Officer position with other FY 1999 personnel requests in Executive Session on Tuesday, May 19, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Chernick Conference Room. YOUTH OMMTSSTON DANCE The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to approve of a dance sponsored by the Youth Commission to be held at the Elk Grove Teen Center on Friday, May 15; and • to approve a budget of $500 for the dance. .STATUE PURCHASE The consensus of the Committee was to approve of the purchase of a statue entitled "Twist in Time' to be sculpted and delivered by James Haire at a cost of $5, 000. WORKFORCE D .V . .O M ENT COUNCTT, DTNNER The following individuals will be attending the May 7, 1998 Workforce Development Council dinner: President Johnson, Trustees Czarnik, Lissner and Prochno, Beth Madden, Nancy Carlson and the two scholarship winner from Elk Grove Village. AR IN TON HEIGHTS ROADWAY DEST N The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to have staff provide engineering design services for Arlington Heights Road improvements related to the Town Center at a cost of approximately $6, 100; and • to pay for the cost of installing a cul-de-sac on Arlington Heights Road and Lonsdale less a $10, 000 contribution from Hamilton Partners. JFK/ELK GROVE BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS The consensus of the Committee was to have Public Works install a prototype landscape bed at Charing Cross Road for review prior to the installation of five (5) additional beds. The prototype landscape bed will include juniper bushes, spirea and feather reed grass. TOWN CENTER/Vr . ,A . R .N IMPROVEMENT The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to have the base of the fountain covered with blue tile/finishing; and • to amend the landscape plan by replacing purple autumn ash trees with red maples. EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Petri moved, and Trustee Czarnik seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting and enter into Executive Session for the purposes of discussing matters of personnel . Upon voting, the motion was unanimously approved.
