Zielinski, Chicago Trihnna ELK GROVE EXCHANGE President Johnson and Trustees Czarnik, Dill, Lissner, Petri and Prochno confirmed that they will be attending the July 2, 1998 Elk Grove Exchange. PILLAGE BOARD SOFTBALL TEAM The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to schedule the softball game to start at 3:00 p.m. on July 5th; and • to schedule practice for Tuesday, June 30th at 6:45 p.m. at a site to be determined. , MUNI Tp T. COMPLEX B .N H . The consensus of the Committee was to have limestone benches installed in front of the Municipal Complex. COSMAN ROAD SIDEWALK The consensus of the Committee was to refer the Cosman Road Sidewalk issue to the Capital Improvements Committee for further discussion with a resulting recommendation of one of the following options: • force annex the property to allow the sidewalk to be installed on the south side of Cosman Road; • place the sidewalk on the north side of Cosman Road next to the Busse Woods Forest Preserve; or • take no further action. RELAY FOR LIFE The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to not register a Village Board relay team; • to have staff contact the Relay for Life organizers to determine possible methods for the village Board to volunteer; and • to discuss the Village Board's volunteer options at the July 14th Committee of the Whole Meeting. STUDENT RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO) The consensus of the Committee was to approve the implementation of a Student Resource Officer at Mead Junior High School for the 1998-99 school year subject to the following: • School District #54 paying 9/12ths of the SRO's salary; • School District #54 providing the village with one year's notice before cancellation of the program-f and • providing the SRO with the option of not carrying his/her sidearm while on school property. Village staff will make the necessary arrangements to work with School District #54 to select an officer for the SRO program. WIRELESS ANTENNA LEASES The consensus of the Committee was as follows: • to approve the Sprint lease agreement and special use permit ordinance at the June 23, 1998 Village Board meeting; and • to refer the Cellular One and Nextel agreements to the Judiciary, Planning and Zoning Committee for further discussion on the 9-1-1 surcharge language.
