SATURDAY HOURS FOR ENGINEERING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to close the Engineering & Community Development counter
starting in February and to have it reopen for the first
Saturday in May, June and August and the second Saturday
in July; and
• to have information placed on the Channel 6 Message
Board and to have an article placed in the next Villager
newsletter regarding the changes to Saturday service.
YOUTH COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
The consensus of the Committee was to adopt an ordinance to
allow a temporary increase in the number of commissioners by two
until June 1, 1999. The Village Attorney will be directed to
prepare the ordinance at the December 12, 1998 Village Board
Meeting for adoption at the first meeting in January.
ELK GROVE EXCHANGE
All Village Board members confirmed that they will be in
attendance at the January 7, 1999 Elk Grove Exchange.
FOREST AVENUE STOP SIGN
The consensus of the Committee was to have a stop sign
installed on the corner of Forest Avenue and Little Higgins and
to have staff prepare the necessary ordinance for adoption at the
January 12, 1999 Village Board Meeting.
ENTRYWAY SIGNAGE
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to concur with the Recycling Committee's recommendations
of using recycled plastic posts for the entryway signs;
• to approve the entryway sign drawings with "Welcome to
Elk Grove Village"; and
Discussion of specific sign locations will take place at a
future Committee of the Whole Meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Trustee Lissner moved, and Trustee Petri seconded a motion
to adjourn. Upon voting, the motion was unanimously approved.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
