NOISE MONITORING OF O'HARE ATRPOR?
The Village President stated that he had met with
representatives of the Chicago Department of Aviation to
discuss noise monitoring of airplane traffic over Elk Grove
Village. The City of Chicago will be operating a 30-day
experiment to gauge noise levels in the Biesterfield,
Higgins, and Devon Road corridors via three noise monitors
in each corridor. This information will be used to realign
O'Hare flight patterns in an attempt to find a permanent
solution to noise pollution in the area.
