NORTHWEST CENTRAL DISPATCH SWITCH TO 800 MEGAHERTZ Y
The Departments of Police, Fire and Public Works, and Doug
Edmonds of Northwest Central Dispatch System (NWCDS) made a
presentation to the Village Board regarding the benefits of
switching to an 800 megahertz system for Village communication.
Upon discussion, the consensus of the Committee was to authorize
the Village Manager to sign a letter of intent to fund the switch
to the 800 megahertz system for frequency application purposes
which may include an increase in the emergency phone service
surcharge from $.30 to $. 75 to fund the system change upon
approval of frequencies by the Federal Communication Commission.

The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the
recommendations of the Bicycle Commission which were as follows:
• relocate the path to the north side of Biesterfield Road
from Wellington Avenue to Beisner Road;
• maintain the sidewalk widening from Beisner Road to
Rohlwing Road at the cost of the Village; and
• omit the path on the south side of Biesterfield Road
from Wellington Avenue to Beisner Road.
NEWSLETTER ARTICLES
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mass
mailing of the articles as submitted with the minor changes
approved by the Committee.
i•AVDMETER PURLIC WORKS NOISE REDUCTION
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to include the improvements recommended by the Capital
Improvements Committee in the FY 1996-97 Budget; and
• to have a follow-up meeting with the residents of Redwood
Lane after the improvements are completed.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
