The consensus of the Committee was to approve the Villager
newsletter articles and the Grove Mall special insert with the
recommended revisions.
ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL RENAISSANCE PROGRAM
The consensus of the Committee was to approve a $200. 00
donation to the Elk Grove High School Renaissance Program under
the consent agenda of the September 10 Village Board meeting.
1996 YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT PROGRAM
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the 1996 Youth
In Government Program schedule as proposed.
SALE OF VILLAGE PROPERTY
The consensus of the Committee was to authorize staff to
negotiate the sale of the property at Touhy and Higgins as part
of the annexation process under the following conditions:
• The property will be sold at its value as determined by an
appraiser of the Village's choice; and
• All costs associated with the the sale, including
attorneys' fees and appraisal costs will be the
responsibility of the purchaser.
MAKE-A-DIFFERENCE DAY
The consensus of the Committee was to discuss this item at
the September 10 Committee of the Whole meeting.
GROVE MATJ, R .DV . -O MNT
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• have Jack Pettigrew do a report on T.I.F. financing at the
September 10 Committee of the Whole meeting; and
• to allow Good Year to stay longer on the property if they
are approved by the IEPA, subject to lease arrangements to
be made with the Village Manager.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
