GROVE MALL LIGHTING
The consensus of the Committee was that the current lighting level
at the Grove Mall was sufficient for the existing businesses on the
property.
NEWSLETTER ARTTrF,R$
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the submitted
articles with the changes requested and to have articles on noise
monitors, Park District elections, and the Traffic Advisory Council
meeting schedule added to the newsletter.
NETWORK ENGINEER POSITION
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the Information
Systems Committee recommendation to contract with a network consultant —
to provide support services for the installation/implementation of the
Village's computer network.
WASTE HAULER LTrENSF FFRS
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• to concur with the Recycling Committee's recommendations on
license fees for waste haulers in the industrial park;
• to send a letter to the waste haulers informing them of the fee
schedule and implementation date; and
• to have the Village Attorney prepare a license fee ordinance for
adoption by the Village Board.
UPCOMING MEETINGS
The consensus of the Committee was to cancel the November 26 and
December 24 Committee of the Whole and Village Board meetings and to
hold an additional Committee of the Whole meeting to discuss the Grove
Mall redevelopment and other items at 7:00 p.m. , on Tuesday, December 3.
TAX LEVY DETERMINATION
The Finance Director made a presentation to the Committee on the
financial status of the Village and the recommended 1996 tax levy. Upon
discussion, it was the consensus of the Committee to concur with the
Finance Director's recommendation to approve a 3.6t increase in the tax
levy for all funds, including debt service, pension funding, and the
Library tax levy. The Village portion is a 3.4t increase. The
Library's portion is 4.3t increase over their prior year's extended
levy. This item will be formally adopted by ordinance at the December
10, 1996 Village Board meeting.
